I'm not the kind of person that's like "Here let me fix the canon" usually but like holy crap gen 5 implied a lot of messed up shit about our hero Twilight Sparkle lmao

can I just say it's been too long since we had an anime girl we could collectively worship. Haruhiism feels so long ago. Madoka has basically had to carry the last decade by herself. Feels good to have a new deity in the pantheon

the fact that all of these things can exist in someone's mind as equally valid and neutral "personal bodily choices" is both frightening and infuriating. anything that involves another person is not strictly a matter of individual bodily autonomy, and anything involving the presence of money being used to influence a choice that would not otherwise be made in its absence is not "autonomy".
deeply disturbing seeing the concept of "having sex for free" lined up here too, as if people somehow forgot that sex doesn't inherently have anything to do with money.

The borderline hero worship of Evan Dorkin is so strange. I have never been in a fandom where this was such an issue in my life. People act like this man is a saint who can do no wrong and if he says anything negative he's just a poor depressed sad boy, I've seen people call this guy babygirl. This is an almost 60 year old man that does not need people being a white knight for him, especially when he's gone out of his way to say he's just a guy and doesn't like being put on a pedestal, and that you shouldn't glorify your heroes. Maybe because there's so little crumbs for Eltingville people try to fandomize it's creator, who knows 🤷‍♂️

star trek as a concept is completely sexless. it is utterly devoid of sex. not one drop of convincing sexual tension has ever graced the screen on any star trek show. the weird unintentionally homoerotic psychosexual mind game shit on the other hand,

gaz kisses start of slow. tender. soft. gentle.
but then there's a sublte shift.
where his lips are locking with yours and starting to move with purpose.
then it turns rough. heated. passionate.
steals your breath as he replaces it with his own.
then his hands. fucking lethal.
started off as a gentle hand on your back guiding you closer, a hand cupping your face...
then he's grabbing you, pressing you against him like you're going to runaway if he doesn't.
groping would be a gentle way of putting it.
he grabs what he can, squeezing and pressing you till you're perfectly aligned with his torso.
and don't even think about pulling away when he gets to this state. for starters you can't move because his arms and hands are locked around you.
if you try pull your head back- the motherfucker chases you.
addicted to your lips. your taste. to you.
just please- let him kiss you like this...
"just one more baby..." he hushes past swollen and wet lips, his gaze hooded locked on the way your lips match his. yours parted as soft pants leave you. "one more... please... pretty. can't get enough of ya'." his words slurred, drunk off of you.
only you could get him like this.
looking at you with pleading brown eyes.
though he's already leaning in before you can say anything else. capturing your lips with his again.
and again
till he's had his fill.

I really don't think Tom Riddle/Voldemort was obsessed with hierarchies or the need to immerse himself in aristocratic connections, or to simply belong to an elite. He took it all as an art of creating his own alter ego. Tom was performative.
Clearly he exalted his achievement side more than the actual achievement of results. So much so that he spent some time working in a retail after Hogwarts, even though he would probably have got something much better in benefits, given the connections he had made in his pureblood cult. But no. He was more like a meticulous dreamer and very creative in his intelligence to have created new spells, rather than a mere figure of consistent power. What he inherited was nothing, what he built above it all was everything to him.
His intelligence was never rigid, even though he aced the most academic exams (well, because he really studied). I think if there's one strong characteristic of who he is, it's that he has the ability to transcend a notional intellect.
I see Tom as practically an Artist of performance and power.
